The corporation
has operated continually from that time with its sole purpose being to provide
safe, decent and affordable housing to the residents of the State of California.
CRDC has either developed or assisted in the development of 2,717 housing units dedicated to those members of our society in need of affordable housing. CRDC is extremely proud of the housing units it has developed. We consistently strive to provide housing units that are well designed and that will stand the test of time. Our goal is for our projects to be a long term asset to the communities we serve. We insist that our projects be well maintained and that we are good neighbors in our communities.
CRDC is designated as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) by the Housing Division of the City of Redding.
CRDC is a very experienced housing development organization that has used a multitude of financing sources to finance its developments. We are experienced in the use of housing tax credits, bond financing, HOME program funding, redevelopment set aside funding, AHP funding through member banks and the FHLBB and RD funding through the Dept. of Agriculture. CRDC is also experienced in working with banks to assist the lender in meeting their CRA obligations.
The operations of the corporation are governed by a five member board of directors that have exhibited a strong dedication to the cause of affordable housing. Each board member has agreed to serve a three year term on the board. The current board members are:

- Kenny Breedlove
The current staff at CRDC includes David Rutledge, the CFO and Secretary for the organization and Sue Bienias who serves as the bookkeeper and who maintains the financial records of the corporation. Carson Neal and Company serves as the accountant for the corporation. The current staff has been with the organization for nearly ten years. This continuity of service has lead to a stability and retention of housing knowledge within the organization.
